I was asked by Tom Williamson in Ophthalmology if I could make a handful of high quality animations and graphics of a variety of surgical procedures.
Macular hole surgery was one of the surgeries Tom wanted me to animate.
The various stages of the procedure were outlined to me.
The most challenging aspect of this was using particle effect to simulate a bubble being injected into the eye – a crucial part of the surgery.
